The final version of the ISO/SAE 21434 is finally published on August 31st 2021!

Less than a year is left to secure type approval for new vehicle types compliant with UN-R 155 and ISO/SAE 21434.
Many OEMs and suppliers are concerned about recent changes and with implementing the required cybersecurity management system (CSMS) on time. The webinar was held in cooperation with Deloitte and itemis AG.

  • Stefan Rocksch, manager in the cyber team at Deloitte gives an overview of ISO/SAE 21434 and Dirk Leopold, Head of Advanced Engineering and automotive cybersecurity expert at itemis AG will show you the latest changes of the final version of ISO/SAE 21434 and will go into more detail about the changes in the clauses Process, Organization, TARA and Life-cycle.

  • Stefan Rocksch will talk about organization needs to be adapted and what processes now need to be implemented.

  • Dirk Leopold will talk about spreadsheet failures and will show you why many companies will fail with TARAs based on spreadsheets. He will explain how to implement a future-proof lifecycle management.

Dirk Leopold is the Head of Advanced Engineering  and a senior expert in automotive cybersecurity at itemis AG. For the past 5 years at itemis he has been focussing on automotive cybersecurity risk management including related regulations, norms, services and products. Holding a degree in industrial engineering from Technical University of Darmstadt, he has 25 years of professional experience in various industries and roles at national and international level.

Stefan Rocksch is part of the Deloitte cyber team and focused on engineering processes and regulatory requirements. He began his career as web developer, followed by several years as a consultant in the automotive industry. In this time, Stefan has supported several OEMs and departments to ensure the consideration of product cybersecurity.
